2016 Young Employee of the Year Award – WINNER ANNOUNCED

NewBiz launched the Young Employee of the Year Award in 2016.

All businesses in the BH25 Postcode were encouraged to nominate an employee under the age of 23, who has been in post for at least 9 months and has made the biggest contribution to their business in the last 12 months.  A cash prize, certificate and trophy were awarded to the 2016 winner, who was announced at the NewBiz AGM on 21st June 2016, as Miss Hollie Bentley from Bradbeers.

Hollie Bentley of Bradbeers was presented with The Goff Beck Cup, a cheque and certificate as the Winner of the 2016 NewBiz Young Employee of the Year Award.

Phil Adams, Hollie’s boss and who nominated her, described Hollie as having taken the initiative in identifying her skills and suitability for promotion when a vacancy arose.  And her team have progressed and flourished with Hollie’s people focussed approach where she makes her colleague’s feel appreciated.  He continued that Hollie is described as an innovator, and has, for example, taken the initiative to instigate training for her department with external providers when she has seen this as necessary.

Hollie was congratulated on her achievement.

Other Finalists announced on the night were Thomas Bates who was nominated by his boss, Paul Bailey from Col-Tec and who described Thomas as enthusiastic who likes to learn new skills along with having genuine interest to better understand each role within Col-Tec.  Paul continued that Thomas understands that the reputation of firm is dependent on every stage of the production process.

Finalist 2016 - Thomas Bates

Congratulations were given to Thomas.

The third Finalist, was Matt Cirelli, nominated by his Manager, Mark Brownsea at Station Financial .  Matt was described by Mark as having a ‘can-do’ attitude who is extremely hardworking and has learnt a massive amount in a short time.  Mark continued that Matt is a team player who always has time to help others.

Unfortunately, Matt wasn’t able to attend the Awards presentation, however below is a picture of Matt being presented with his Certificate the following day, by his Chairman, Keith Ingram.
